At the time I’m writing this, it’s currently 10°F (-12°C) outside but it feels like 3°F (-16°C) which is extremely fucking cold. 1 It means that I’m thinking of ways to stay warm since I prefer not to turn my heat above 68°F (20°C) due to cost issues, thus the reasoning behind this wish list. I should be trying to fall asleep but I’m also watching season eight of Castle. 2 I’m planning to watch CSI: NY next, which is only a five-season commitment. Now on to the wish list part pf the post, which ties into the whole trying to keep warm/wintery theme.
- Keurig K-Express Essentials Plus: I’m one of those weird people who’ll gladly eat ice cream in the winter, or drinks iced coffee. However, there are times that even I think it’s too cold for an iced beverage and crave a hot drink. This is the both of both worlds – it makes both iced and hot drinks…perfect for when I’m being too indecisive throughout the day. There’s the added benefit of my definitely need to get a new Keurig as I dropped my last one, and it caught on fire. 3
- AE Whoa So Soft Classic Crew Neck Sweater in Cobalt Jewel: I absolutely love layering my tops – this would be an absolutely perfect top layer. Plus, as an added benefit Navy which is what the color of this is reminiscent of is one of my favorite colors. In fact, both my Junior and Senior year of High school’s prom dresses were Navy.
- Old Navy Plaid Flannel Button-Down Boyfriend Shirt in Navy Plaid: I honestly chose this particular color because it ties in all the layers, except for the Stanley which is a nice pop of color. I also love the preppy look of a sweater over a button-down shirt/flannel, it gives the look of a school uniform without having to wear a skirt in the cold weather.
- AE Stretch Ripped Super High-Waisted Straight Jean in Dreamy Indigo: I know what you’re probably thinking…you thought this was supposed to be a cold weather look, and it 100% is a cold weather look. However, like I mentioned about not being able to wear turtlenecks as I’ve gotten older, I also can’t wear jeans that fit too snugly around my legs. A pair that has a rip around the knees is a perfect compromise and adds a bit of edge to an otherwise preppy look.
- Dr. Martens 939 Crazy Horse Leather Boot: I had a similar pair of Dr. Martens when I was in college, which I wore constantly with absolutely everything…even cute little dresses. They were oddly comfortable, but they were lost when our minivan was stolen after a fire. I’d love to have another pair, but I already own taller boots.
- Alpine Swiss Duffy Women’s Wool Blend Toggle Coat with Removable Faux Fur Hood in Black: I wanted something that was combination of a peacoat and a puffer with a faux fur hood. This is the perfect compromise in that it allows me to have the faux fur hood, but still has the look of a peacoat.
- Stanley The Quencher H2.0 FlowState 30 oz BPA Free Insulated Straw Tumbler in Seafoam: This ties back to the Keurig, honestly, and my desire or rather inability to make decisions. However, when I do decide if I want an iced drink or a hot drink, I prefer that it stay that way until I’m finished with it. As for the color? Well, this is the one I made a decision on and it’ll add another pop of color to my chosen look.
- OOPLUS Christmas Beanie Hat Scarf Gloves Set in Pink: I love how pink looks against the color black, and in case you’ve not already noticed, I love when things go together. The pink from this set goes back to the pink in the flannel.
- Fossil Women’s Jolie Leather Hobo Bag in Brown: I cannot begin to tell you how much of my life I carry with me on a daily basis, so I definitely need a bag big enough to carry everything. This stylish bag is classic enough to use throughout the entire year, and will hold everything from an iPad (which I still need) and everything in between.
- Kate Spade Devin Colorblocked Medium Bifold Wallet in Timeless Taupe Multi: I’ve had my current wallet since 2018, which means I’m definitely due for a new one. I’ve loved Kate Spade for as long as I can remember, and this would be my first product from them. The neutral tones mean that it will co-ordinate with any purse I decide to use, or even any outfit that I decide to wear.
- Joyspun Women’s Double Layer Crew Lounge Socks in Blue Magic: Do I really need to tell y’all why I chose these? They look warm, and they are basically the same shade of blue as the sweater.
- Apple 11-inch iPad A16 Wi-Fi 256GB in Silver: I’ve been wanting something a bit more portable, and secure than my laptop. An iPad would be absolutely perfect – as an added benefit I can use it to begin exploring eBooks.
- StraightTalk Apple iPhone 13 in Black: If you saw what my iPhone 6’s screen looked liuke, you’d understand why this is on the list. Of course, this would also come with a monthly commitment to insure that the phone still has service. But if I could sell feet pics…that would definitely help some.
Confession: I actually used this particular wish list to create an outfit that I’d love to own, but I do honestly need these items…except for possibly the Stanley. I mean, Christmas is less than ten days away and I don’t see myself receiving any presents. I also don’t have the funds to buy myself anything since my plan to sell feet pics is delayed due to lack of funds. 4 Regarding how the post looks, I’ve decided to forgo adding the signature until I can either figure out how to make it appear after the footnotes or stop using footnotes. A new post will be coming around Friday, I’m planning to repost one of my first blog posts ever with edits on what changes, if any, I’d make today. I hope that this post finds you having a wonderful time, and that from me is a TTFN!
